Cocktail Menu: Jason Williams’ reimagined Singapore Sling

Reflecting on his time as Creative Director and Head of Advocacy at Proof & Company, Jason Williams shares his experience of reimagining the world-famous Singapore Sling for the reopening of the Raffles Hotel and its Long Bar.

“We had the most profitable cocktail in the world, we took it apart and put it back together again. I have my own gin brand, called Widges Gin, and I’m now fortunate enough to have Widges Gin as the official gin of the Singapore sling, at the home of the Singapore sling, the Raffles Hotel.”

Singapore Sling

Ingredients:


  • 30ml Widges gin
  • 10ml DOM Bénédictine
  • 10ml Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacąo
  • 10ml Luxardo Cherry Sangue Morlacco
  • 10ml Crawley’s Raffles Grenadine
  • 1 dash of Scrappy’s Spice Plantation Bitters
  • 22.5ml Fresh Lime Juice
  • 60ml Fresh Pineapple Juice

Directions:


  1. Shake ingredients well
  2. Strain over ice into a Singapore Sling glass
  3. Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and cherry
