Margarita recipes

With the Margarita becoming such an iconic drink, it has been opened up to variations on a theme, here’s a range of Margarita cocktail recipes:

THE ORIGINAL MARGARITA

Ingredients:


  • 30ml Blanco Tequila
  • 30 ml Cointreau
  • 30 ml Fresh lime juice

Directions:


  1. Make a salt rim on your glass
  2. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice
  3. Shake vigorously until well chilled
  4. Strain into a Margarita glass
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel

BANGALAY DINING’S SIGNATURE SALTBUSH MARGARITA

Ingredients:


  • 45ml Altos Tequila
  • 30ml lime juice (freshly squeezed preferable)
  • 15ml Continental Triple Sec
  • 10ml agave syrup
  • Saltbush salt (for the rim of glass)

Directions:


  1. Run a slice of lime around the rim of a rocks glass, and coat in saltbush salt.
  2. Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec and agave into Boston cocktail shaker. Shake.
  3. Strain into rocks glass over a large ice cube. Enjoy
