World’s 50 Best Bars 2016

The World’s 50 Best Bars 2016 will be announced in London tomorrow, at 7.30am Australian Eastern Daylight Time. The countdown will be taking place at a gala event from 8.30pm – 9.15pm (GMT) on Thursday 6 October, as the global bar industry waits to see if Artesian makes it a record fifth year in a row in the top spot.

There are three Australian bars in the running this year, with the inimitable The Baxter Inn waiting to see if they held sixth place or made it higher. Melbourne’s grand institution Black Pearl made it in 10th last year, while Sydney’s innovative Bulletin Place was in 28th position – both bars will be waiting to see if they can top their 2015 result.
